Adventurous by nature, Ravi likes to take on one impossible challenge after another. His pursuit for excitement has led him to triumphant quests across the globe – from successfully launching premium automobile brands in the Middle East, catapulting the floundering sales figures of an international airline, to conquering language barriers and establishing his own advertising firm, in Kiev, Ukraine.
Ravi started his career in software sales and moved on from there to advertising with Fountainhead Communications, where he handled Ramco Systems and worked on a corporate campaign with Chess Champion Vishwanathan Anand as the company’s brand ambassador. He moved on to Ogilvy and Mather and was intensely involved in the variant launches of a successful hair care brand – Meera Herbal Shikakai powder.
His 8 years in the Middle East was spread across Muscat and Dubai where he garnered experience in industries like automotive, airlines, education and electronics. Stationed with Bahwan Automotive Centre, one of the largest marketers of automobile brands in the region, Ravi handled the marketing and advertising for prestigious brands like Ford and Lexus. In the course of his tenure at Bahwan Automotive, he organized several major events which included hosting popular pop singers and high profile celebrities.
One of the challenges he particularly enjoyed overcoming was the floundering sales figures of Kenyan Airlines. He was instrumental in devising an exciting Kenyan Safari package, this coupled with a strong marketing and advertising campaign meant that the airlines tickets sales were soon flying high.
